Loaner Laptops
Education Commons is pleased to offer loaner laptops to all students temporarily requiring a computer to support their university work activities, for up to two weeks (10 business days).
Available Hardware
Both PC and MAC laptops are offered upon request based on limited availability.
Available Software
Loaner laptops come with the following standard software:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Zoom client
- Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Eligibility
All OISE students are eligible to request a loaner laptop. Please note the duration of the loan is up to 10 business days.
How to Request
Please visit the to create a new request. From the category drop-down menu, please select: Loaner Request > Equipment > Student
After the request is reviewed, a form will be sent to you to complete.

FAQ
How do I request additional software that is not installed on the laptop?
The request will be reviewed by the Education Commons team. Users are not allowed to install software themselves.
How do I receive the laptop?
Education Commons team will provide information to schedule an appointment for you to come and pick up the laptop. Students must come to the OISE campus to pick up the device.
What information must be provided for picking up the laptop?
A valid T-card must be shown to EC staff upon pick-up.
Are there any additional accessories provided?
Only the laptop and power cable are provided.
Can I store any data on the loaner laptop?
Make sure to save your files to your Microsoft OneDrive, as all files will be removed upon return of the device.
