OISE is saddened to share the passing of Dick Holland.

Dick was a longstanding instructor in both the BEd and MT programs at OISE. He played active leadership roles in a wide range of initiatives including the Alternate III Cohort: School, Community and Global Connections, the Environmental & Sustainability Education Initiative, and Green Learning Organization – and contributed widely through professional associations, conferences and publications in global citizenship education.

Dick was a former TDSB teacher (1985-2012) and a founding member of the TDSB’s Ursula Franklin Academy, a unique school with commitments to global education and social justice.
