CAREER CLOSET – CALL FOR DONATIONS

Hello OISE community!
In anticipation of the MT and MACSE Teacher Candidates who are heading out on their first practicum placements, CTL in collaboration with the ROSE office, is organizing a Career Closet of professional clothing for students to Suit Up for Success!
Help us support our Teacher Candidates in looking their best as they head into their placements by donating any professional attire you might be ready to pass on!
This way we can support their Career Closet while being gentle on the environment by encouraging recycling and upcycling. We are gathering donations of professional & business-casual attire in all sizes as well as any unused and unopened toiletries and makeup, including:
- Blazers
- Suits
- Dress shirts / Button-down shirts
- Dress pants
- Dresses
- Skirts
- Knit tops
- Basics (neutral t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts good for layering)
- Winter jackets
- Jewelry
- Unopened toiletries and makeup
Please note that all donations should be freshly laundered and in excellent used condition (no rips, stains, holes, thanks!). At this time, we aren’t accepting shoes or handbags, purses, etc.
Donations can be dropped off Monday to Friday between 9am – 4pm in the ROSE office (8th Floor, North) OR in the Curriculum, Teaching & Learning Department reception area (11th Floor, South). We are accepting donations from Tuesday, October 15th through to Friday, October 25th.
