The current WUHO exhibition organized by the Julius Shulman Institute, 鈥淲ayne Thom: 聽Matter, Light, and Form,鈥� has been receiving a lot of attention.
A recent article in WIRED highlights the timely relevance of the work that is captured in the photographs of Wayne Thom, featuring late-Modernist and Brutalist buildings of the 70鈥檚 and 80鈥檚 that have long been overlooked and under appreciated. Described by the exhibition curator, Nicolas Olsberg, as 鈥榰ncompromising鈥�, the work was, according to photographer Wayne Thom, 鈥檛he merger of art and science鈥�. 聽The photographs capture the work dramatically and exquisitely. 聽鈥淗e seems to have an ability to deal with this extraordinary scale and these varied surfaces that I don鈥檛 think anybody else had,鈥� says Nicolas Olsberg.
