The current WUHO exhibition organized by the Julius Shulman Institute, 鈥淲ayne Thom: 聽Matter, Light, and Form,鈥 has been receiving a lot of attention.
A recent article in WIRED highlights the timely relevance of the work that is captured in the photographs of Wayne Thom, featuring late-Modernist and Brutalist buildings of the 70鈥檚 and 80鈥檚 that have long been overlooked and under appreciated. Described by the exhibition curator, Nicolas Olsberg, as 鈥榰ncompromising鈥, the work was, according to photographer Wayne Thom, 鈥檛he merger of art and science鈥. 聽The photographs capture the work dramatically and exquisitely. 聽鈥淗e seems to have an ability to deal with this extraordinary scale and these varied surfaces that I don鈥檛 think anybody else had,鈥 says Nicolas Olsberg.
